CanariasZEC closes more than 25 meetings in the framework of the #EUvsVirus Matchathon

Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) has scheduled more than 25 meetings within the framework of the #EUvsVirus Matchathon, which will be held from May 22 to 25, organized by the European Innovation Council, which has the participation of the 120 winning teams of the hackathon, in addition to investors, companies, hospitals, academies and research institutions of the international scope.

From the organization it is reported that the objective of this call is to connect the needs of innovators with the opportunities offered by investors, companies, public administrations, universities, research institutions, among others.

During the Matchathon, innovators will present their solutions to secure deals and funds that will allow them to scale up their innovative solutions and bring them to market. This, in turn, will help address the relevant challenges of COVID-19 and accelerate the European and global recovery.  

According to the data, a total of 120 winning projects with 800 innovators working in multinational teams, 115 investors and more than 200 ‘partners’ (companies, universities and public authorities) have registered to participate in this #EUvsVirus Matchathon
