According to the collaboration strategy, the entity has attended the Wolves Summit with Why Tenerife? Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) and Why Tenerife? were both represented at the Wolves Summit 2019. This event, which is held every year in Warsaw (Poland), is a European benchmark for startup companies specialized in technological innovation. The philosophy of the venue is to help start businesses and provide a precise matchmaking tool to establish direct contact between companies, investors and capital. In doing so, it promotes the development of this business ecosystem. PRESENTATION OF THE ZEC DURING THE COURSE ON “TAX BENEFITS OF THE REF”

The president of The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC), Antonio Olivera, will introduce the regime of the ZEC within the context of the Course on Tax Benefits of the Economic and Fiscal Regime (REF) of the Canary Islands, organised by the Distinguished Professional Association of Mercantile and Business Graduates of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The event, to be be held on 26 March, will be opened by the chairman of the Distinguished Professional Association of Mercantile and Business Graduates of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Francisco Purriños Carrasco, and the minister of the Treasury Department of the Government of The Canary Islands, Rosa Dávila Mamely. The brand, composed by the Island Council, the Port Authority, the Free Zone of Tenerife, The Chamber of Commerce and the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC), seeks to promote investments in the island. It will now grow with the integration of two new entities: the Canarian Society of Economic Development SA (Proexca) and The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), once they have both completed the ongoing adhesion process and the corresponding agreement is signed.
