NORTHERN AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COMPANIES SHOW AN INTEREST IN THE TAX SYSTEM OF THE CANARIASZEC

The Canary Islands.– The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) attended Slush 2019, one of the most relevant events in northern Europe for the ecosystem of technology companies and startups. The objective was to make ZEC’s tax system known to a sector that provides diversification to the regional economy, generates talent and jobs with an added value.

During the event, the ZEC held 30 meetings with entrepreneurs related to activities such as: e-commerce & online marketplaces; maritime/circular economy; transportation & mobility; spacetech; e-commerce & online marketplaces; sports; education; food & nutrition; health & wellbeing; medtech & pharma and travel & leisure & education.

At the same time, meetings with international firms were held in order to inform them of the incentives, so as to advise companies and investors with growth prospects to establish their businesses in the Canary Islands.
