Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) has participated in Woman Impact-Virtual Summit, an international virtual event whose purpose is to give visibility and access to women in the world, in general, and in Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands and West Africa, to promote business networks and ideas in the field of entrepreneurship. This meeting has been a space for analysis and training, as well as to address the economic opportunities of government institutions, private sectors and regional leaders who work on special initiatives for women.
Within the framework of this platform as a networking space, which has included training sessions, panels and talks by experts and where companies, companies and institutions seeking proposals and new approaches to bridge the gender gap have participated, the ZEC has held a series of B2b meetings with international participants (Europe, Africa, Latin America, North America and other parts of the world) to advise them on the taxation of the incentive with the aim of creating and establishing business initiatives taking advantage of the opportunities of this instrument. It should be noted that one of the lines in the sector’s strategy to attract foreign investment by the entity, focuses on those emerging economic activities that prioritize female entrepreneurship.
Woman Impact Summit is an initiative born from the “100 Women to change West Africa” program to empower women, enhance their participation in economic initiatives and support entrepreneurship in West Africa and the islands of Macaronesia that, in turn, it is established within the framework of the AFRIMAC 2 project. The four main blocks of this summit dedicated to women have been entrepreneurship and access to resources, the supply chain, international expansion, and information and communication technologies (ICT ).
