Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) will have a virtual stand within the framework of the new edition of Maritime Week Las Palmas – Supplying Ships in the Atlantic (Maritime Week Las Palmas – Supply of Ships in the Atlantic), where it will advise participating investors and will maintain an agenda of B2B meetings with bunkering companies and multinationals and with international institutions in the maritime sector from: Greece, Norway, Sweden, Russia and the United Kingdom. This biennial, which will take place over three days, from November 17 to 19, will bring together national and international experts in ship supply, bunkering and 4.0 ports.
The event aims to promote active participation through business to business meetings among business delegates and establish business-focused connections in this global market. This edition will bring together the maritime clusters of the Canary Islands, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands and other key maritime nations. The organization foresees the participation of prestigious multinationals and national and regional companies from the aforementioned sectors of port activity. Both Fundación Puertos and Proexca have already promoted international promotional campaigns for Las Palmas Maritime Week in several leading European countries, mainly in the bunkering service in ports and in the digitization of their production and distribution systems.
Las Palmas Maritime Week plans to turn Gran Canaria and the Port of Las Palmas into a global center of attention for the maritime sector. It will be a meeting at the highest level, with seminars led by specialized executives of large companies, B2B meetings to develop contacts and business between companies and technical visits to the port area to learn about its potential and strategic tricontinental importance. The Puertos de Las Palmas Foundation is the sponsor of the Week Maritime Las Palmas 2020 within the framework of the INTERREG MAC 2014-2020 Project called ‘4p0rt’, 85% financed by the ERDF funds of the European Union (EU).
