Canary Islands.– The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) will present its fiscal framework for the audiovisual sector to a reverse online mission of Canadian companies organized by Animayo Gran Canaria 2020 in collaboration with the Canary Society for Economic Development (PROEXCA), which will take place next May 27 and 28.
The program of the 15th International Animation Film, Visual Effects and Video Games Summit, Conference and Festival, carried out on a 100% virtual platform in its most technological edition, will take place from May to the third quarter of 2020 in four scenarios: virtual, streaming, online and in person, becoming the first Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Video Games.
From the organization they report that this mission is set as objectives in establishing synergies between producers, independent filmmakers and animation studios, visual effects (VFX) and videogames in Canada with Canarian companies in the sector, in addition to bringing them closer to the reality of the Canarian market as an international platform development of animation productions, VFX and video games, showing the quality of the contents of regional productions with the aim of exploring possible collaborations for production and co-production.

9, 10 May 2020 Virtual: panels of national and international animation, vfx and video game experts (will include audience interaction with live chat), discussion tables, company and professional networlking.
16, May 17, 2020 Streaming: streaming / online activities with master classes from national and international speakers in streaming, review of portfolios (for scholarships), scholarships to talent.
22, 23 May 2020 Online: selection of the International Jury from the Official Section to the Competition with viewing and voting through the online platform (exclusive for the Festival Jury).
Last quarter 2020 Face-to-face: projections Official Sections for the Animayo Gran Canaria 2020 contest (voting for the Public award), primary and secondary school screenings, video games and virtual reality space; premiere of short films made by children for children (Animayo educational system), official children’s section for the My First Festival contest, U-future experiences.
Animayo has been the only Spanish animation festival designated “Festival Qualifier” by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood for the Oscars® in the Animation category, for three years.
