The Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC), the Canarian Society of Economic Development SA (PROEXCA), and Canarias Cultura en Red, under the umbrella branding of Canary Islands Film, presented the tax benefits and opportunities of the islands for the animation audiovisual industry, before the Association of Czech Animation (ASAF) in Prague.
The Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Czech Republic took part in this day, which is marked in the calendar of promotion actions as a common strategy carried out by several Canarian institutions for the development of the audiovisual industry in the islands.
The regional president pointed out that in 2018, the Canary Islands received a total of 70 film shootings which generated more than 2.000 direct jobs and an expenditure of 60 million euros. This data places the islands as world-wide reference for the cinema industry.
