The Canary Islands.-´Given the success of the first Country Focus seminar “THE CANARY ISLANDS, AN ARCHIPELAGO OF OPPORTUNITY” (Naples), the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) and the Canary Islands Society for Economic Development (PROEXCA) have once again participated in this forum, the second edition of which was held in Rome. More than seventy Italian companies took part in this conference, organised by the internationalisation consultancy firm Cross Hub, which aims to offer a global vision of the internationalisation process for the Canary Islands.
The programme of the second Country Focus “THE CANARY ISLANDS, AN ARCHIPELAGO OF OPPORTUNITY” featured the intervention of the Director of the ZEC Investor Service Agency, Olga Martín, who presented all the tax advantages of the incentive as a competitive instrument for internationalisation processes aimed at international markets. Under the title, The Canary Islands as a strategic hub, the director of PROEXCA’s Investment in the Canary Islands Division, Carmen Sosa, explained the opportunities of the islands as a business platform.
In addition, Luca Genovese, Cross Hub’s founding partner, analysed the programme to promote the expansion of Italian companies in “International Horizons”. Similarly, Pietro Tranfaglia, trade specialist at Deustsche Bank, explained the role of banks as partners in the internationalisation investment process and Paolo Nagar, partner at Studio Pirola, Pennuto, Zei & Associati, completed the programme. This forum respects the strategy followed in the Italian market to promote the Canary Islands as an opportunity for Italian companies and as a complement to the internationalisation programme.
