The Canary Islands.- The Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) has attended one of Europe’s most important events for maritime and ocean-based industries, the shipping trade fair Norshipping 2019, held in Oslo (Norway). This fair was also attended by other companies and entities of this sector that operate in the Canary Islands and benefit from the low taxation tax system, and the ZEC had the chance to establish contact networks to attract innovative projects related to ocean-based businesses to the Canary Islands and to explain the tax benefits that this incentive offer for companies in this sector.
Norshipping is one of the most important events in the business agenda as it brings together more than 1000 exhibiting companies and 35000 international representatives. In addition, it is the perfect place to network and to exchange knowledge. The aim of this year’s edition is for companies, market players, industries and all relevant interest groups to move in the same direction through collaboration in order to achieve a sustainable maritime sector, as maritime and ocean- related industries play a key role in the success of global development.
